Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Sign up for the Free plan and use Ontraq forever without paying anything. The 14-day Pro trial is also free without a card.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time from the Billing page. Annual plans get a credit for unused time.
What happens after my 14-day trial?
If you don't add a payment method, your account drops to the Free plan. You keep all your data — just with the lower limits.
Where is my data stored?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure (Supabase on AWS). Our privacy policy lists every provider and where data is processed.
Does the GPS clock-in drain phone battery?
No — the geofence only wakes up when cleaners arrive at or leave a site. We use the same low-power location services as iOS Find My / Android Find Hub.
What happens if a cleaner is offline?
Clock-ins are queued locally on the device. As soon as connectivity returns, they sync automatically with the original GPS coordinates and timestamp.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Invoices and payslips export as PDF, and you can download a full copy of your account data (jobs, sites, team and more) as a machine-readable file from Settings. No lock-in, ever.
How is GST handled on invoices?
Ontraq treats GST the way the ATO does — cents-only arithmetic, inclusive or exclusive at the right moment, ABN on every invoice. You choose tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per invoice.
